Hi Again!,
I'm having an issue with TransWiz when I migrate from a Windows XP PC to a Windows 7 (x64) PC. After logging in as the migrated user and trying to open the "Devices and Printers" Control Panel section, nothing appears. The progress bar (in the address bar) moves up to ~97% and stays there. The main body of the window is flat white. I have seen this on 2 separate PCs (Both are HP Compaq Pro 6300 SFF) after migrating 2 separate user profiles. When logging into other user profiles on the PC the Devices & Printers screen appears normally instantaneously. I had a quick look into the registry and it seems that some registry information isn't getting written, specifically a whole chunk of information under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion. I exported the keys & sub-keys from a known-working "Devices & Printers" profile and imported it into the broken profile without success. I've done some research on the issue and a lot of suggestions point to a Bluetooth service not started in the background - I've tried these steps and none seem to be working. My hunch is that there is missing registry information from the migration. Edited by Peon - 06 Mar 2014 at 6:52pm |

Hi,
Transwiz will only migrate user-specific printer information. It does not migrate system-wide data, like printer drivers. You should install printer drivers separately. |
