I love Transwiz. I work for a government agency and we are always refreshing computers.
This program saves us tons of work. We only run into problems when we restore profiles of users that are using Mozilla Firefox as their browser. When going through the restore, it errors out on each Firefox temp file, and you have to sit there and press Ignore, Ignore, Ignore....and if there are alot of these, you may have to press this hundreds of times, sometimes to the point of aborting, and backing up and restoring the profile manually, the ole fashion way. It appears to be an access/rights issue, but we have full admin access to the machine. I thought if we ran CCLEANER prior to backing up profiles, this might fix this? Although, I have not tried this yet. I assume other users perhaps may have run into this issue. Please advise. Thanks. |

We've not seen this or had it reported before.
Can you not exclude these temp files from the backup? Do they have a specific extension? |

I dont have the paid version, so I didn't think the excluding files option was available in the free version of Transwiz?

Do these temp files have an extension we can exclude in the code?

The temp files live in the users\%username%\appdata\local\mozilla\firefox\profiles\??????\\cache2\entries\
The file names are long, and do not have extensions. Perhaps you could just exclude: c:\users\%username%\appdata\local\mozilla\firefox\profiles |
