I didn't think that the wizard changed them. But I was wondering if, for instance, one of the services ran under "Network Service" but the machine is no longer on the network, could that prevent it from running? Like most mortals, I really have no idea what these startup credentials actually are. But some of the services are writing errors in the event log that say that such and such does not have permission, access denied, etc. And, when I try to fix it by changing the "Log in as", windows tells me I don't have permission even when I am logged on as admin. The whole thing is a mess. I just thought maybe you could shed some light on it.

User Profile Wizard does not change any of the log on properties of Windows services.
Almost all services run under system accounts, like Local System, Local Service, and Network Service. |

We have moved from a domain to a workgroup with the paid, professional version. Since the migration, my production machine is very slow to boot and very slow to shut down. It has also been crashing randomly but usually a couple of times per day. I have a suspicion that it might have something to do with the way the windows services are authenticating (or not authenticating). When the migration software runs, does it change any of the login properties of the windows services? Could some services still be trying to authenticate against a non-existent domain or domain user?
