We recently upgraded about 100 laptops to Win 10 Professional, then joined them to the domain and then migrated the local account profiles to their respective domain accounts.

For 98% of the PCs everything worked flawlessly. There was 1 major exception::

On a couple of PCs, most importantly, a Surface Pro, the migration completed as successful, but nothing migrated. Of close to 100 PCs here are the facts:
  • all PCs were laptops
  • All but 4 Surface Pros, were upgraded from 10 Home to 10 Professional
  • Migration was successful on 3 of the 4 Surface Pros (SP)
  • On the one SP,
    • the user name, as shown in the account, was domain@localPC
    • the display name was the user's name, which was same as the domain account it was to be migrated to
      • localPC\ted was supposed migrate to ted@domain.local
      • localPC\ted as shown in ProfWiz Panel was actually locaPC\domain
As far as I can tell, nothing migrated even though ProfWiz said it was successful. This was also one of a handful of machines where the Next button on the ProzWiz dialog became active long before the migration was complete.

Any ideas on how I can 'trick' the app into migrating as planned?

Thanks!!!!
