Hi All,

I am planning on using the Personal Edition and the interactive GUI interface for about 5 workstations from old domain/server to new domain/server

I have been practicing with DOMAIN Profile to LOCAL Profile and remove the system from the Domain. Worked Great!

I have been able to migrate a LOCAL profile to DOMAIN profile and join a domiain. Figured out that I need the workstaion DNS to point to the AD/DNS/SERVER reboot the workstaion and it worked fine.

If I have a workstation in Domian ABC, Profile JOE and DNS pointing to SERVER-A and want want the workstation to now be part of Domain XYZ, use Profile JOE and talk to SERVER-X, are these steps correct..

- Create Local user named ADMIN on the workstation
- Login as the local user ADMIN on the workstation
- Set the DNS to point to the new AD/DNS/SERVER-X
- Reboot & Login as local user ADMIN
- Run ProfileWizard and migrate user ABC\JOE to XYZ\JOE

OR, SHOULD I BE DOING THIS...

- Create Local user named ADMIN on the workstation
- Login as the local user ADMIN on the workstation
**** REMOVE THE WORKSTATION FROM THE DOMAIN MANUALLY ******
- Set the DNS to point to the new AD/DNS/SERVER-X
- Reboot & Login as local user ADMIN
- Run ProfileWizard and migrate user profile JOE to XYZ\JOE

Don't want to risk corrupting a profile by making a mistake and then not being able to migrate it at all.

Thanks for your time and expertise.
