I tried to search the forum for this topic and I apologize if I just couldn't get the search terms to work out. What I'm seeing is the ForensIT Transwiz program is basically recursively running and creating an ever doubling in size backup file. To the point that the file size for a system can end up filling a 2TB hard drive when the machine has about 100GB in use. The only thing I can even fathom is that TransWiz is catching volume shadow copy information, and the volume shadow copy of Windows is then trying to capture that information being created as well. Thus an ever doubling file size.
I'm seeing this happen on Windows 7 Enterprise machines. Any thoughts? Saving to an external hard drive seems to keep it from happening as often. |
