Hello,
I use Transwiz to transfer profile data from Windows 7x64 to Windows 10x64 and I never got any problems. I cannot transfer the same archive file from Windows 7x64 to Windows 8.1x64. When Transwiz 1.11.1081.0 begins "Processing Windows Store Apps" I get APPCRASH. I tried to transfer with new version Profwiz 1.13.1088.0 and I got APPCRASH during "Processing UWP Apps..."

What do I have to do to avoid APPCRASH?

Transwiz includes some .NET components. Make sure you have installed the latest .NET Framework.

I have installed all versions .Net Framework from 3.5 sp1 to 4.8 (https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework). It didn't help...

This happens when you are restoring the profile?

This is genuinely Windows 8.1, not Server 2012?

Are you sitting at the machine, or are you connecting remotely?

It happes during Trasferring Profile... All steps go without any problems (Finding Domain Controller, Using Domain Controller, Binding to Active Directory, Getting Domain SID, SID is.., Checking for roaming profile, No roaming profile path set). The next step is "Processing UWP Apps..." and I get APPCRASH... OS is Windows 8.1 Pro official. I am sitting at the machine. I checked by transferring this profile to Windows 10 Pro and I had no problems. What does Transwiz do during "Processing UWP Apps..."(Maybe it helps to solve this problem)?

Please send a screenshot of the error - and the .dmp crash dump file, if you have it, to support@ForensiT.com

Thanks.

That depends on what has crashed...

Copy and paste the path below into a "Run" box to open the folder and send any .dmp files.

%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\ForensiT\Error Reporting

Thanks.
