I'm working with a client who's run entirely cloud-based for a while. Many of their machines are purely local profiles on Home-based versions of Windows, but some were Surface laptops that shipped with Pro, so we joined them to Azure in their setup.
Now the company's reached a point where it needs a local DC and resources, so we're upgrading all the Home computers to Pro and joining them an migrating them via ProfWiz, but when we got to the Azure-joined computers we found there was no migration path in the software or documentation. Are there any options I'm missing, or is this truly a path that isn't available to us? |

Microsoft provide no means of unjoining a machine from Azure AD, other than manually via Settings. You need to do this first.
Once the machine has been unjoined from Azure AD, you can migrate the user's profile in the normal way. |

And we have confidence that the profile remains accessible once disjoined? No inherent or known risks of losing access to it once the machine's been removed from Azure?
