Hi Guys,
next week-end I have to re-install SBS 2008 to SBS 2011 (on the same server). We cannot change hardware so migration is not an option. I don't mind reinstalling, I would use same server name, domain and client accounts, but my problem is to keep the client profiles. In the last two days I've been reading lot of tips and tricks, documentation and everything could help me to be ready for this, my eyes burn, tired now :-) Now I found your User profile wizard that seems to solve a lot of problems. Let's see if I got it right: 1) I DO NOT unjoin the clients from the domain 2) I Save the client's Outlooks 2010 PST files 3) Install SBS 2011 on the server and complete the setup 4) Join the clients to the new server using http://connect 5) Run the User Profile Wizard on each client to move the old domain user profile to the new server. 6) Re-import PST into Exchange or Outlook 7) Test everything 8) Run to have a bier to celebrate :) Am I missing something? Is User Profile Wizard I need to buy? Thanks in advance for all the help you can offer! |

That's about it
We don't think there is any need to save the Outlook PST files (on the clients) first. |

Well this is not a real PST file is an Outlook 2010 OST file but I suppose it just a different format but same concept.
If it is moved along with the profile then really your software deserve two thumbs up! |

Speech,
How did you do with this? I have to perform the same operation but it is SBS 2003 to SBS 2011 on the same server. Thanks |
