Hi,
I'd like to use profwiz.exe in command line to assign an unassigned profile to an account. (the goal is to "restore" a profile from a backup.)

For example :
I have a "C:\Documents and Settings\toto" folder containing the profile, I launch profwiz with "profwiz /DOMAIN XXX /ACCOUNT toto /LOCALACCOUNT toto  /NODEFAULT /LOG: c:\toto.log /NOJOIN
I get a "Cannot determine local account SID." in the log file.

If i use the GUI, I use "Show unassigned profile" box, and it works perfectly.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

The command line is primarily designed to allow you to automate the migration of profiles. As it is not possible to know in advance what profiles are unassigned on any given machine, the option doesn't exist to assign unassigned profiles.

Hi,
thanks for the quick answer. In my context, I know in advance, because it's a post-upgrade script. Is it possible to modify profwiz to allow that option in command line ? How much would it cost ?
