Hi,
I'm moving a number of Win7 clients from an old SBS2003 domain to Win Svr 2012R2 Essentials and hope to migrate the user profiles to the new domain with UPW. I found that the the ms 2012R2 connector would only run if the Win7 client had been "un-joined" from the old domain by switching it's domain and workgroup settings back to "Workgroup" mode. Once that's done the 2012R2 connector is happy to join to the new domain and you can then run UPW to assign a profile. Is this the correct procedure? The domain "un-joining" step is crucial but doesn't appear to be mentioned anywhere. Or, of course I could be missing something... Cheers, Steve. |
