Ran personal migration on a new win10 laptop to move it from domain to workgroup.
When logged in to the domain (SBS 2003!) the AD assigned a path in the profile settings to the "Home Folder" on a NAS After migration to workgroup everything seems fine except the My Documents folder no longer points to the NAS - it only shows the local PC documents that were there for the local PC account. Also, a drive letter (Z:) mapping assigned by the DC to the NAS user data has been lost. Any ideas how to remap the "home folder" on local PC to point to the NAS instead like it did when logged in to the domain ? EDIT: Found an answer to the drive mapping - could specify that as part of the user properties in Administrative Tools | Computer Management | System Tools | Local Users and Groups | Users so now connects ok when logging in. Leaves the problem of how to map all the MyXxxx folders so they correctly replace the local PC folders. Edited by edblock - 03 Feb 2019 at 4:33pm |
