reinstall windows 10 apps
run the following powershell as  administrator:

Get-AppxPackage -allusers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml” -Verbose}

I am having the same issue. Migrated profile and many apps do not work. Firefox Hangs and many other programs fizzle out. migrating from windows 10 to windows 10. What do you mean by reinstall all win 10 apps? Like go one at a time?

This has happened to every computer and user we have migrated onto our new Domain.  The Above PowerShell command works, to a point, but the system still acts sluggish and eventually the user loses almost all, if not all Icons on the Start Screen.  Other option has been to backup their data, completely remove their user account on that computer and have them login and recreate their account on that system.  (ISSUE DOES NOT AFFECT THEIR DOMAIN ACCOUNT).  This is a huge annoyance.  And Supports answer was, we were on the wrong version of windows...NOT.

Firstly, we are sorry if anyone has any problems with our software. User Profile Wizard is used to migrate hundreds of thousands of profiles every year. Given the number of profiles migrated, the number of customers who have any issues is incredibly small. However, we are fully aware that if you are one of those customers, this doesn't help, and we write code every day to try to make User Profile Wizard are reliable as we can make it. This is what we do, this is our business; it is in our best interests to fix any problems that arise.

If most people have no problems, trying to reproduce a problem an individual person or organization has gets very difficult. We can’t solve problems we can’t reproduce, so trying to recreate the environment in which a problem occurs takes a lot of time. Again, we know that this does not help if you have a migration to do and are you up against the clock.

For the record we never said you were using the “wrong” version of Windows. What we said was (and I quote) “These kinds of issues are associated with older builds of Windows 10. There are no known issues if you are running the latest build of User Profile Wizard (version 3.14) and an up to date build of Windows 10, at least version 1709.” Which is just the truth. Bugs get fixed in Windows 10 too.

So what do you do if you have problems with UWP Apps?

1. The first question to ask is, Did the Apps update? When the user signs-in for the first time you should see “Updating Apps x%” on a full screen dark blue background. Does that happen? If not, then something is blocking the Apps being registered.

2. If you have a problem with UWP Apps, instead of using the PowerShell command, open a Run box (WinKey +R) and type upwpm2 -force. This will force User Profile Wizard to re-register the Apps. (You should see an icon appear in the Taskbar notification area.)

3. Open the C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\ForensiT folder and look for a file called Migrate-AppxPackage.log (not Migrate-AppxPackage). This is the error log. If that log file exists, send it to us.

If relation to your point that the problem does not affect the user’s domain accounts, my understanding is that you were migrating users to new domain accounts. Are you saying that this problem occurs if you sign-in with the user’s old local account?

We are having the same issue with the latest Profile Wizard and build 17763.
