Having RTFM for User Profile Wizard, I was hoping someone could clarify about choosing which accounts to migrate?

Step 6 / page 18 of the manual has a section on selecting "Accounts to Migrate".  The screenshot offers 2 options:
  1. Migrate all matching account profiles
  2. Only migrate logged in user
If I'm logged in as an administrator, then I don't want Option 2.  However, I don't necessarily want to migrate all of the old account profiles on the machine.

Are these my only 2 choices, and what does it mean by "matching"?  For instance, if I have a .csv file mapping old to new usernames, will it only migrate users that have a "match" in the .csv file?

Thanks!

By default, User Profile Wizard will always try and migrate a profile, even if the user is not listed in the lookup file. So if it looks up username in the lookup file, and it is not found, the software will still look for a username account in the new domain: if the account is found, the profile is migrated; if the account is not found, the software will go on to the next profile.

You can change this behaviour by setting the <SkipOnNoUserLookup> value to True in your Profwiz.config file.

Scripting is about automating the migration without user intervention. If you want to select the profiles you want to migrate, you can run User Profile Wizard in GUI, or write a customized script that meets your requirements.
