Hi guys,

We've been trying to migrate profiles from Tenant1 AAD joined device to Tenant2 AAD.
I'm receiving an error "N o   Tenant1   d o m a i n   a c c o u n t   p r o f i l e s   w e r e   f o u n d "

But I dont get one thing. All of our devices in Tenant1 are only AAD joined. dsregcmd /status shows device is AzureAdJouned, but it's not Domain Joined. We don't have domain users in PC.

We have provided Tenant1 and Tenant2 Azure domain during wizard configuration. Also we checked option it's "AzureAD".

What's the problem over here. it can't find a domain user on the laptop or it can't find it from AzureAD .xml file? (I made sure an user is over there)

Hi,

If you check what whoami reports when you are logged in to one of the source accounts, you should specify that on Step 6 as the <OldDomain>. The Wizard is looking for profiles that are associated with the domain name specified on Step 6.

For an Azure to Azure migration, this would generally be AzureAD, because whoami will report AzureAD\User.

If it is a migration from a Hybrid domain, the profile will be associated with the onprem domain name, eg OldDomain\user, so OldDomain should be specified in Step 6.

If you continue to have a problem, please can you mail the migration log and config file together with output from whoami to Support and we'll be happy to help.

Many thanks,

Support.

Hi,

Thanks. It turned out we had to modify user domain name in .csv file. It didnt accept domain.onmicrosoft.com. We had to provide our domain -> domain.org

...but we are facing another issue. So Migration is completed, it looks like everything is copied and working but we can't see device in Intune connected to migrated user. I found a device but it's not assigned to any user.

Hi,

Unfortunately that's how the Provisioning Package operates.

You could look at using this script to update the owner based on the last logged on user. https://svdbusse.github.io/SemiAnnualChat/2020/03/21/Changing-Intune-Primary-User-To-Last-Logged-On-User.html

Many thanks,

Support.
