I am attempting to migrate a test machine from a local AD domain to Azure AD. I have the provisioning package created and have verified that it works when installing manually. However, when I attempt to migrate the profile, it fails when calling the provisioning package.

However, there is no provisioningpackage.log file created under C:\ProgramData\ForensiT\Logs

I have also looked in event viewer and the only errors 304 and 307 are referenced, which seem to be standard Azure based errors.

The provisioning package and ForensiTAzureID.xml are all in the same location as the profwiz.exe that I am running.

Any ideas?

Hi,

If you are just getting this:

Calling Provisioning Package... Fails.

And you are not getting

Calling Provisioning Package... Fails.
Provisioning Package not found.

Then the problem is not to do with the path to the Provisioning Package: the Provisioning Package is being found, User Profile Wizard is attempting to install it, it is just that the Provisioning Package is failing. It could be that you just need to recreate it, generating a new bulk token. Tokens are time-limited.

Have you tried testing the Provisioning Package with the Install-ProvisioningPackage PowerShell Cmdlet?

If the error is that the Provisioning Package is not found, please check the path to the Provisioning Package in the config file. If you place the ppkg in the same folder as profwiz.exe, you can remove the path to the file and leave only the file name - profwiz will look in the same folder as itself if no path is specified

If you continue to have a problem, please can you mail us your full log and config file and we'll be happy to take a look (support@).

Many thanks,

Support.
