Hello Support,

I'm trying the ProWiz free version to test the migration.
We are in NAT mode because all servers are located in a Data Center so when i try to migrate my profile from 1 domain to the new domain is say's DOMAIN NOT FOUND.

This what i do to try to fix this issued;

Local PC the NIC IP is local to our Office (172.16.0.0/24)

Old Domain Server IP are 172.20.0.0/21

The NEW Domain Server IP are 172.20.40.0./24

I create Host file as well LMHOST files on the PC that need to be migrate with all server information that need to be put in those type of files, IP Address, name of the server and domain.

On the PC the need to be migrate as DNS; i put Primary DNS : the old domain DNS
and as secondary DNS i put the new domain DNS

ProWiz came with an error saying new domain FAILS to contact de Domain

So Migration FAILS

Any suggestion ?

Thanks & Regards

Hi,

Thank you for letting us know.

I'll reply for anyone else reading this in the future, you will need to either set up a conditional forwarder on the existing DNS to the new Domain, or change the computer's DNS to the new.

Many thanks,

Support.
