Hi, I'm kinda new to this app. I'm using this app to migrate local account to domain account. It's works great and thanks to the team.

My question here is once I already migrate the local profile to the domain profile, i can see a service, Forensit AppX Management Service, is running in the background. I'm not sure what is the purpose of this service. As I know, i didn't agree with any installation when do the migration(i mean when run the app). I couldn't found any app installed in program and features as well.

Can anyone tell me what is this service for and can i disable or uninstall, and how to uninstall.

Thanks in advance.

The ForensiT AppX Management Service is as described under “Services” in the Computer Management console: “The ForensiT AppX Management Service is used by ForensiT user profile management applications to manage Windows Store Apps.”

The service has to be installed because Windows Store Apps can only be updated when the user signs in after the migration has completed. On shared machines it may be weeks, or even months before one or more of the users signs in.

If you want to remove it, you can download our DefProf utility and run

DefProf /DeleteAppxService

Hi... Thanks for the response.

As you said, i have seen the Windows Store update on the first time login by user after the migration. User only login to desktop after the completion of the update. Its took about few minutes.

So now i have come up with another confusion. Is Windows Store need to be update using this service after its already update on the first login? Or the Windows Store will do the auto update (Without running the service) for the next time.

This answer will help me to decide whether i can uninstall or not.

I need the Windows Store in the updated status.

The service can be uninstalled once all the migrated profiles have been signed in to.
