Hi,
We're looking to perform a Win10 profile migration - but automated and remote with no central server, so we want to use Intune to push a profile migration as a package. We have some flexibility there, with access to both domains. Though, we will have already joined the new AzureAD, so the new user profile will be created and logged in, but blank. So we wish to log in with the new AzureAD account to the old (also azureAD) profile where all the user data resides. I can do this profile migration with ease in the GUI version, but can't seem to understand how the wizard and automation piece needs to be configured, given the available options. It seems like ProfWiz was designed to do the heavy lifting with domain join/un-join and profile creation, but through a stroke of luck we found a good way to migrate machines from azure/intune to azure/intune. So I'll have that all done by the time I want to run ProfWiz. I do have access to the machines before they are removed from the old azureAD so I can perform some pre-work there if needed. Maybe leave a last-logged-in-user breadcrumb before leaving the old azure? The old and new user profile names are very similar; firstlast to first.last. Because of that, some regex could extrapolate the user's old profile by just removing the dot "." from the existing logged in profile, if that helps. |
