Hi,

just about to purchase pro version.
I failed server 2012 std & new server 2022 std.
Question, if the old domain is not available can I still use this software to migration the user profiles onto the new domain / server?
Also, when migrating do we need to have the user accounts already setup on the new server to be able to migrate the profile into or will the software create the users on the new server?

Many thanks.

Hi John,

Yes, you can run User Profile Wizard in these circumstances, User Profile Wizard does not require access to the old domain.

The new user accounts must be created in advance in the new domain.

Thanks,

Support.

Hi John,

This looks like a DNS issue.

Some of the redacted information might help identify what it is, if you could email us please at Support, with the full log, we might be able to advice further.

Please also see Finding Domain Controller Fails/ “The RPC server is unavailable” in the ”Troubleshooting” chapter of the User Guide.

Support.

All sorted thanks!.
Hadn't noticed that is had static DNS entries in the TCP IP settings for some reason that were pointing to the old domain.
