User Profile Wizard does not move, copy or delete any data. Instead it configures the user’s existing profile “in place” so that it can be used by the user’s new domain account. If you are seeing a new domain account profile inder C:\Users it was not created by Profwiz. Profwiz does not create any links between profiles. You can certainly delete an old profile that is not is use. However, you need to be careful that you delete the right one! Check the profile that is in use by typing C:\>echo %USERPROFILE% at a command prompt. |

I used the free version of a Profwiz3 to move a local profile to a domain user of the same name. (win 7 64bit)
When I go to the c:\users\, I see that the original profile and the new domain user profile. However, I do not see any new info associated with the new domain user. Are there links between the new user profile and the old profile? If I try to delete the old local profile, will I corrupt the new domain user's settings? Where is the domain users profile stored if not on the local hard drive? Thanks Edited by dnwhhs - 04 May 2012 at 4:39pm |
