Hi,
I have two questions regarding a Hybrid to Azure-only migration. 1. In my current hybrid setup, the same credentials are used for both the on-prem domain and Azure to enroll computers in Intune. How does ProfWiz handle this scenario? When I tried to migrate an on-prem account to Azure, ProfWiz completed the task but created a new folder named "firstnamelastname" for the migrated account and set it as the default logon. 2. If ProfWiz leaves the current hybrid environment, does that mean I will lose any assigned configuration profiles, apps, and memberships? Thanks for your help! |

Hi,
1. If you are currently logging on with an AD account from a Hybrid domain and migrating to an Azure account, this is a different account even though the UPN you are using is the same. The Wizard migrates the profile from the old account to the new account, so that when you log on with the new Azure account, you will access the migrated profile. There is an option to configure the Wizard to rename the profile folder, or not. If you do not want the Wizard to rename the profile folder, you should untick the option, or set <ProfileFolderRename> to False in the config file. The Wizard will update the default login, you can set <NoDefault> to True in the config file if you would not like the Wizard to do that. 2. In order for you to be able to log in with the new Azure account, the computer must be unjoined from the old AD domain (which in turn will disconnect the computer from Azure) and then you must join the computer to Azure. You can do this manually in Windows Settings or by installing a Provisioning Package. The Wizard migrates the profile as is from the old account to the new. I hope this helps, if you have any further questions, please email us at support@ with further information and we'll be happy to help. Many thanks, Support. |

Hi!
Please, about the <RenameProfileFolder> config. If it is set up to <RenameProfileFolder>False</RenameProfileFolder>, should it apply to the Single Deployment File (.exe) also? In our case, even with <RenameProfileFolder>False</RenameProfileFolder>, when we migrate from on premisses AD to Azure AD using the Single Deployment File, it is renaming the folder i.e., felipe.picone becomes FelipePicone, and that causes sync problems on onedrive and sharepoint, forcing to resync all files and folders (onedrive can't find the previous felipe.picone folder error). Regards, Felipe

Hi,
Please remember if you change a setting in the config file, if you are using a Single Deployment File, you will need to run through the Deployment Kit and create an updated Single Deployment File. The Single Deployment File includes all the files, so if you make a change to any files, you need to create the new exe. If you continue to have a problem, please email us at support@. Many thanks, Support.
