Okay, so I have a problem. I'm trying to to retire one of my old domain controllers, and I'm also in the midst of deploying 90 new machines. For some reason, PM keeps using the old domain controller even though I have essentially disabled every service on it! How can I prevent this?

Windows sends out a request onto the network for a domain controller for the domain specified. User Profile Manager uses the DC that is returned.
To resolve the problem you should correctly demote the old DC. The problem has nothing whatsoever to do with User Profile Manager. |
