Can the Corporate edition single executable method be used to migrate Hybrid Joined PCs to Azure joined? If so is there any difference in how it’s setup?

Hi,

Yes, you can use User Profile Wizard to migrate profiles from any account type, to any account type.
In the case of migrating from a Hybid domain, you will need to specify the AD domain name as the <OldDomain> in the config file and use a User Lookup CSV file to map from the AD account name to the new Azure UPN. You can verify the source <OldDomain> and username via whoami when logged on to a source account.

User Profile Wizard will unjoin the computer from the domain (which will also result in the Azure connection being removed), you can configure User Profile Wizard to automate joining the computer to Azure using a Provisioning Package.

Many thanks,

Support

To confirm, ProfWiz will disjoin the machine from the OnPremises AD OnPrem.local (which results in the existing Azure AD join being removed)
Then the provisioning Package will join back to the Azure AD domain at the next reboot.

I tested the Provisioning Package by itself, but it didn’t seem to work, because it stayed as Hybrid after reboots.

Thanks

Hi,

If you are testing a Provisioning Package on it's own, on a Domain joined computer - you will need to unjoin the computer from the domain first yourself... installing the Provisioning Package will not unjoin the computer from the domain first.

User Profile Wizard will unjoin the computer from a Domain before installing a Provisioning Package.

Thanks,

Support.
