I have an old Windows 2000 domain with 10 users. I have built a new SBS2003 domain and have created new users and will use new machine names.
Old is on 192.168.1.x and new is on 192.168.2.x
They are completely phyically seperated and this posses my concern.
I want to use the tool to move the existing user on the old machine to a USB device and then after the physical migration is done migrate the profile back onto the new machine (new user, network, speed etc).
I do not appear to have the option to "offline" the profile.
Suggestions? Thanks.

Hi,
If you want to physically move a profile from an old machine to a new machine, then you should be using our Transfer Wizard tool, rather than User Profile Wizard.
If your users are keeping their existing machines you just need to connect them to the new domain and run User Profile Wizard. User Profile Wizard does not need any access to the old domain in order to migrate a profile; it only needs access to the new domain.
