We wonder why defprof runs for so long. I observe taking a single run about 5 minutes, even when the default profile has less than 150 MB space reqs.

I tried to understand what defprof is doing in that time tracing it with procmon, and saw that it is endlessly opening and closing "C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Application Data" (QueryNetworkOpenInformationFile ... SUCCESS).

What would be the expected execution time for a profile of that size?

Any debug switches and logfiles that could be looked into.
