I recently purchased a new laptop. I decided to try the transwiz program to move my profile from my old laptop to my new one. It worked like a charm. all data, setup and office configurations came across.

I have found one issue. When i try to open a windows 10 app, it will not open. No messages or anything, just does not open. I tried Photo, Alarms & Clocks, calculator etc. Any windows 10 base application will not work. Any applications i have installed work fine. I cannot open microsoft store to try and reinstall any of the apps.

Environment: Lenovo Laptop with windows 10 preinstalled. Connected to a windows server 2016 domain.

If i login as any other profile (local administrator, domain administrator or user profile) all programs work fine.

Obviously there is some issue with the loading and setting up of my profile. FYI My profile is a domain profile not local.

Any help would be appreciated as i don't want to have to reload this laptop.

thansk
Rick

If you have problems with UWP (Universal Windows Platform) apps, open a Run box (Winkey +R) in the profile that has the problem and enter upwpm2 -force. An icon in the notification area should tell you that the Apps are being updated.

There is absolutely no need to reload the laptop. The very worse case is that you just delete the profile and create a new one.

Worked like a charm. This fixed the problem.

Thanks
