Hello,

I'm seeing an issue with Outlook refusing to open after migrating a profile with Profwiz. It has happened on multiple machines, all running Win10 with a mix of 20H2 and 21H1.

After migrating the profile, if you try to open Outlook you get the following error:

The path in the screenshot points to the profile I migrated from. It only happens on machines that we've migrated using Profwiz.

It persists through any and all of the troubleshooting I've done. I've tried:

Creating a new mail profile.
Quick repair of Office.
Online repair of Office.
Full uninstall/reinstall of Office.
Manually setting permissions on the path.
Deleting the path and having Outlook recreate it.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

There could be a number of different causes.

First, which Edition of User Profile Wizard are you using (Professional, Corporate, or Personal)? Which version are you using?

If you are using the Professional or Corporate Edition, and you do not rename the profile (you set <RenameProfileFolder> valure to False in your Profwiz.config file), does the problem still occur?

I'm using Personal edition. Initially I was using 22.2.1278, but moved to 23.2.1280 as part of the troubleshooting and the issue persisted.
