A new version of User Profile Wizard (24.8) has been released to address the problem with 'flashing icons' on the desktop after a migration, this was caused by Microsoft Updates for Windows 11 that were released at the end of April (Preview updates) and May's monthly updates.

If you experience this problem, please use the latest version of User Profile Wizard to migrate the profile again or contact us at support@ for a script to resolve the issue.

Free Edition users can download the new version from the Downloads page.

Professional and Corporate Edition users can download the new version using their download link.

A new version of User Profile Wizard (24.8.1296) has been released today, preventing flashing icons in all of our testing.

If you experience this problem, please use the latest version of User Profile Wizard to migrate the profile again; run the Wizard, select the profile and specify the target account again (essentially migrating the profile back to the same account).

Or you can contact us by email at support@ for a script to to run when logged on as the user.

Free Edition users can download the new version from the Downloads page.

Professional and Corporate Edition users can download the new version using their download link.
