Subject: Domain user can't login after copy default profile

After copying profile to default profile using User Profile Manager, I cannot login Win 7 using domain user account. It prompts an error message "The user profile service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded."

However, I still can login Win 7 using local administrator account. The profile including desktop is the same as default profile. This shows that copying to default profile is successful. Why can't I login using domain user account?

Hi Kelvin,

Check the event log. If Windows cannot load a profile, it will write the error to the event log.

Are you using an Enlish language version of Windows?

Yes, I am using an English language version of Window 7.
It is of no use to read the error in the event log.

What build of User Profile Manager are you using? (See "About" tab")

I am using User Profile Manager 2.0 for Win 7

I encountered the same problem at the second time. It disallow me to login with a new account with no profile created. That means the default profile does not work, but I am sure that the default profile is not empty. I have successfully copy desired profile to the default profile. I don't know why there is no such problem before. This problem just happens recently.
