Hello Experts, We have been using Profwiz.exe for computer profile migration from the command line, and in the past, we used parameters that included specifying the OU path where the computer would be migrated. As we are now in 2024, we want to confirm if these parameters are still valid and can be used, or if there are new parameters available that we should be using instead. The command we are using Profwiz.exe /DOMAIN AD /RENAME <targetOU> /TARGETACCOUNT <EmployeeAccount> /LOCALACCOUNT <Domain>\<User> /NOREMOVE /LOG "C:\Public\Document<computerName>-migration.log" We would like to know:
It is very important for us to pass the OU path as an parameter Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi,
1. Yes. Please see Page 98 of the User Guide. 2. Please see the Command Line Reference chapter (Page 97 onwards) 3. Yes, you can use /rename If you have any problems or specific questions, please can you email us at support with the config file, migration log, command line and any further details regarding the question or problem. Many thanks, Support. |

Hi
we are using the /rename for the OU, but we are passing the OU path from a variable, we are getting an error stating Directory name is invalid. The question from our side is: do we need to pass value like this OUpath = CN=Workstation1,OU=Workstations,DC=uk,DC=forensit,DC=com or OUpath = "CN=Workstation1,OU=Workstations,DC=uk,DC=forensit,DC=com" Thanks

Hi,
No speech marks (quotes) are required. If you are having a problem, I would first test the command line directly to prove it is correct before introducing variables. If you have any problems or specific questions, please can you email us at support with the config file, migration log, command line and any further details regarding the question or problem. Many thanks, Support. |
