Hi, We were in the process of migrating a user and the profile wizard went through the steps and said it completed successfully. However, upon the reboot, a major Windows update decided to complete its install. When we finally got back to being able to log in, both the old and new profile folders still existed and the old profile was still the default login profile. The computer account name was changed and was added to the new domain. Can I rectify this by renaming the new profile folder and running the tool again? If I do this can I just leave the computer information blank (As it is already on the domain) or must I rejoin it to a WorkGroup, ,delete the computer account from the domain, and then re-run the Wizard? Thanks for your help! Tony

You can rename the new blank/default profile and then migrate the original profile again.
You do not need to rejoin the workgroup. The new domain name will appear in the "Enter the domain" box, so you do not need to do anything else. |
